Beats under water
Luckily the designers of both Speedo and iRiver teamed up and recently launched the Aquabeat, a waterproof 1 GB MP3-player. Of course entirely in line with the latest swimwear, it comes in three different colors, namely fluorescing yellow or pink and good old black. The design is well thought trough: The earpieces are fully waterproof and stay in place while swimming. The cable is fairly short, preventing swimmers from getting strangled and eventually drowning. The buttons are quite big, making the player easy to operate in the water. Ladies can attach the player to their bikini top. And the men? An armband will do the trick.

9 hours of music
If you happen to lose your Aquabeat in a pool, don’t worry. It automatically floats to the surface. The battery should last up-to 9 hours. Charging can only be done through USB. The Aquabeat comes with iRiver software to let you create your playlist. All-in-all a nice gadget for those of you who swim regularly. The only downside is the 1 GB of memory. For 145 dollars you’d expect at least 2 GB.
