Segway prototype
The 300-pound prototype runs on a lithium-ion battery and uses Segway's characteristic two-wheel balancing technology, along with dual electric motors. Hold your horses for the moment because there's currently no timeline for production.

Problemsolver
The Segway can reach speeds of up to 35 miles-per-hour. The downside is that you will have to stop every 35 miles to charge the thing. In spite of that, some of the most revolutionary ideas have been born out of tough economic times, like we are in now. So perhaps this new experimental Segway will solve our parking problems, traffic jams and car crashes. At least that is what general Motors and Segway have envisioned.
