A-pad: Convertible and a tablet PC?
If the rumors are true, Aware Electronics will launch a 7-inch netbook within two months. It will hit the market under the name of A-pad and cost $ 300,-. And what makes the A-pad rather unique? Well, simply the fact that it is a convertible netbook. The questions whether or not the A-pad can actually be used as a tablet pc remains. So far Aware Electronics has only released a few images and some basic specs.

What we do know is that the A-pad will hold a Aday5G 800MHz X86 processor , 4GB of NAND Flash memory and built-in WiFi and Bluetooth. In addition it comes with an integrated webcam, dual USB ports, an SD card slot, and runs on LINOS Linux. Tablet PC or not, it still is a very nice product!
